knowlezi is the name I build and share technical products under. I’m interested in the whole process: understanding a problem, designing something useful, writing the code, and looking after it once it exists.

This site is a home for that work and a record of the decisions behind it.

Design and development, together

The details connect. A content model shapes what an interface can say. A design system makes the next change easier. The tools people already use should inform how a product fits into their day.

Churchfield is the first project here: a maintainable website design system for local churches, first implemented for St Leonard’s in Upton St Leonards.

Building in the open

I’ll share projects as they develop, alongside notes about the work. Churchfield is being prepared for an open-source release so other churches can use and adapt it.
